My stay at Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every request was met with a warm smile and prompt attention.
The road to the resort itself is quite memorable. The resort is tucked away in corner of Cherrapunjee next to village Laitkynsew. It is one of the best resorts in the city with outstanding services. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The resort had many activities including local dances and small concert with great singer in the evening. In morning you can enjoy walk through the local village wherein the guide takes you through flora and details of the village.
If you’re looking for a place where service shines, Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort is the perfect choice. I recommend it highly and can’t wait to return!

This is the second time I stayed here. It was more like home coming! The location, ambience, food and the newly built room/facility is remarkable. Mr.Dennis and his team are taking all the pains to make the stay of their guests a memorable one. Unlike other hotels and resorts that are run via Managers, Mr.Dennis is personally involved and that’s makes a visible difference. As well, being deep rooted to Meghalaya, he is THE person to talk to. I am sure to visit again!

Our stay at Cherrapunji Holiday Resort was an absolutely delightful experience, and we cannot recommend it enough!
Amenities: The resort is thoughtfully designed with a good play area featuring a foosball table and carrom board, which provided hours of fun for our family. The rooms are beautifully maintained, clean, and offer a stunning view of the valley. Waking up to the majestic sights of hills and waterfalls was pure bliss.
Staff: The staff at the resort were exceptionally polite and helpful. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making us feel completely at home.
Activities: A highlight of our stay was the guided morning walk in Laitkynsew village, led by Evenes, an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. Although we missed the regular folk dance performances since it was a Sunday, the resort hosted a fun tambola game for the guests, which turned out to be a fantastic alternative. My brother even won the first prize!
Owner: The owner of the resort is a fantastic individual, friendly and intellectual. He graciously shared fascinating insights about the monsoons in Meghalaya and the rich cultural heritage of the local tribes. His knowledge and politeness added a special touch to our stay.
Food: The food at the resort was outstanding, catering to both North and South Indian palates. While the buffet is vegetarian, non-vegetarian options are available on an à la carte basis. The free evening snack and tea were a lovely gesture and delicious!
Location: Nestled in the jungles of East Khasi Hills, the location is a dream come true. The resort offers breathtaking views of waterfalls, hills, and clouds wrapping around the landscape. Laitkynsew village deserves a special mention for its warm, welcoming people and its charm. We even got to pick fresh lemons from a local kitchen garden!
Additionally, the staff suggested a visit to the nearby living root bridge, just 4 km from the resort. The experience was absolutely worth it and added to the overall magic of our trip.
In summary, Cherrapunji Holiday Resort is a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and cultural immersion. With its incredible amenities, exceptional staff, and serene location, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! 🌟

One of the best places to stay in Cherrapunjee, this gem is tucked away deep in the jungles, offering breathtaking, picturesque views. I was captivated by the scenery, especially during the mornings and at sunset—truly the best sunset I've ever witnessed! 😍
This place offers accommodations with all meals included (if I’m not mistaken), and the food and service exceeded our expectations. The rooms were lovely, and we chose one with a view. The beds were super comfortable, the interiors were beautifully designed, and they provided all necessary toiletries, ensuring we lacked nothing. The staff was incredible, always greeting us with warm smiles, and I loved that they employ locals from the village.
Although there were occasional power outages at night, it wasn’t much of an issue since the temperatures were cooler. The food was excellent, catering to both North and South Indian cuisines. A standout feature of this property is that they provide accommodations and dining for drivers as well. When we left, the staff even gave chocolates not just to us, their guests, but also to our driver, thanking him as well—such a thoughtful gesture!
I highly recommend this place for its exceptional hospitality, service, wonderful people, and, of course, the delicious food!
