It's a huge property, but not well maintained. Staff other than the manager is courteous. We'd booked family room after seeing the pictures and talking to the booking person. But in reality it was awful. Wifi and mobile network didn't work in this family room called Penthouse. When questioned about it, manager asked us to come downstairs in the lobby to access it. Bathroom had a bath tub, but it's a joke, because the outlet to the tub is given right on the floor, that means bathroom is wet through out. Water heater is a storage type, so have to wait half hour each time. Water pressure is so low, that shower is out of question. After a little showdown, they allowed us to use other room's wash area. But it was the same story. Food is very very average. Not at all worth the money they are demanding.

Nice resort in the middle of nowhere, only a 2 or 4 wheeler can help you reach there. Amazing service by the staff. They take care of each and every request with utmost humbleness. Great food. Last dinner order taken by 7.30 pm but can be delivered to your cottage till 9.30 pm. Hot water facility available. No disturbance from outside. Location at a peaceful venue. Not luxurious but you'll get everything you need here. Has waterfall view at the backside of the resort during monsoons. Empty during winters.

Was worried after looking at some negative reviews but this place exceeded expectations. The 1 km or so unpaved road leading to the place did look intimidating when arriving in the dark.All rooms are in the form of cottages dotted around. The toilet and the bathroom being separate was useful; each having a wash basin. The shower was not great and no hair dryer but good hot water from the geyser and the bathroom was quite clean; towels were good too. The bed and pillows were comfortable enough. Wall fans as well as a space heater provided. Kettle and tea-coffee too. The sofas in living area of the cottage looked new ( cottage 108) and it seemed newly painted too. Wifi worked well and good speed. The breakfast, although limited in options, was prepared quite well and were tasty; omelettes to order, tea was delicious. Great views around, even to seven sister falls ( dry in winter) and farther the plains of Bangladesh. If the approach road can be improved, this place has great potential.

We were looking for a decent place to stay in the evening, and definitely not a homestay. We found its name on the internet and contacted them. The only problem with this resort is the approach road. Upto NIT the road is good, after that it is only a dirt road with no light and little symbols in between which tell you that you are on the right track. The staff is very courteous and the service quick. The hotel unit we stayed in seemed new. The only thing to remember is if you wish to dine there, order them in advance, and go to the room. They take a lot of time in preparing food. Better to stay in the room. The buffet breakfast was good, considering very few guests were there. In the morning, we had a lovely walk around the resort.

Although the whole place is amazing but the thing I love about it the most is it’s serene and quiet location.
Secondly, the food they serve is delicious, also the whole staff and services are very nice.
I would highly recommend Pala resort if you want a beautiful place to enjoy your vacation.
