During our recent visit to Meghalaya, we stayed at Royal View Resort, which was a fantastic experience. The Double Decker Root Bridge trek was within walking distance, making it an ideal location for nature lovers. We truly enjoyed our stay at the resort, and the staff was incredibly cooperative. A special thanks to Ms. Iban for arranging delicious meals and serving us with such warmth that we felt right at home.

Premium rooms were excellent with great view. Loved the fact that double decker starting point is 100 meters from this hotel. So you can start early by 5 AM. Staffs are cooperative and friendly.
Service should improve as infrastructure feels like 4 star hotel but the service is too slow. In our case we checked in and found that the rooms were not cleaned. Management should cross check before they provide room keys to the next guest.

The resort is located close to the double decker living roots bridge trek.
The premium room offers breathtaking view of the mountains which is definitely worth the stay.
Food is also decent in taste.
Please note that the place does not offer WiFi and there is no mobile network either especially airtel.

Very beautiful views. We enjoyed our stay.
Took one star on service, because I felt that they were short staffed. For example, during breakfast there was just one girl replenishing food tray and also supporting all of us in the dining room

Totally worst experience. We got the worst rooms. Seeing the name "royal view resort" we thought rooms will be premium rooms but they provided us the most smallest rooms with no wardrobe,no table,no proper facility,no wifi, totally zero network. And most importantly, worst service. The receptionist said that they will come to our room to take order for dinner and suggested us to rest in our rooms. We kept waiting but no one came. After a couple of hours when I made a call,a lady told me that they didn't received any order. No value in their words. Totally worst service. After spending so much money one expects atleast a best quality room nd gud service as the name itself describes royal view.... Never gonna visit again.
